The East Alabama SKYWARN Net will operated in "Active" status when that one or more of the following criteria have been met:

The East Alabama SKYWARN Net will be activated or placed in "Standby" status when severe weather WATCHES are in effect involving one or more of the counties in the coverage area. If any type of WARNING is issued while in "Standby" status -- or actual severe weather activity is reported in the coverage area -- net operations will be elevated to "Active" status immediately.

The East Alabama SKYWARN Net conducts a weekly Training Net on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Central Time (8:30 p.m. Eastern Time) and may from time to time conduct special training exercises or other operations for the purpose of training net members and to facilitate testing of radio equipment, repeaters, etc.
